Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, OCZ Technology ha arricchito la propria gamma di memorie DDR3 con due nuovi kit AMD Black Edition da 4GB (2x2GB) in versione low-voltage. In accordo al produttore, si tratta di soluzioni progettate e ottimizzate per il pieno supporto della tecnologia AMD OverDrive, che è offerta dalle piattaforme basate sui chipset AMD 790FX e AMD 790GX ed equipaggiate con i processori Phenom II.

I nuovi kit includono due moduli di PC3-12800 operanti a 1600MHz @ 1.65V, ai quali è stato applicato un dissipatore realizzato con l'ausilio della tecnologia proprietaria XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) e arricchito dal logo "AMD Black Edition". I kit disponibili al momento sono due: si differenziano in base al profilo dei timing, pari a 7-7-7-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) in un caso e a 8-8-8-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) nell'altro.
