MSI ha annunciato la video card di fascia alta denominata GeForce GTX 780 Gaming, una soluzione basata sulla gpu GK110 di NVIDIA configurata in maniera tale da esibire 2304 Cuda core attivi, mentre il core grafico lavora a 954MHz.
La GeForce GTX 780 Gaming è equipaggiata inoltre con un frame buffer avente una dimensione pari a 3GB; interfacciato alla gpu con l'ausilio di un bus a 384-bit, questo componente lavora a 1502MHz (o a 6008MHz qualora si consideri la velocità effettiva essendo implementato con chip di RAM G-DDR5).
MSI pone l'accento sulla dotazione dello strumento software denominato MSI Gaming App, un tweaker con il quale l'utente ha il pieno controllo delle prestazioni dell'hardware video. Più in dettaglio, la Gaming App di MSI consente lo switch al volto fra tre differenti modalità di funzionamento, quali OC mode, Gaming mode e Silent mode, che si distinguono per prestazioni, consumo di potenza e rumorosità descrescenti.
Per quanto riguarda invece il raffreddamento della card, MSI ha adottato le tecnologie proprietarie Airflow Control, Propeller Blade e Twin Frozr IV Advanced Thermal Design, oltre a due ventole da 10cm particolarmente silensiose ed efficienti nello smaltire l'energia termica che le heat pipe conducono verso la struttura lamellare del cooler.
Realizzata con componenti elettronici discreti, come condensatori e induttori, di elevata qualità, al fine di ottenere sempre una risposta stabile, anche in regime di overclocking, la GeForce GTX 780 Gaming è dotata di un set di connettori di ingresso composto da una porta DVI-I dual-link, una DVI-D dual-link, una HDMI e una DisplayPort.
