HIS annuncia la video card non reference Radeon HIS 7970 X

Hightech Information System (HIS) ha lanciato la video card siglata HIS 7970 X. In accordo al comunicato stampa di presentazione diffuso dal produttore, la HIS 7970 X rappresenta non soltanto la soluzione flag-ship della propria linea di schede grafiche, ma anche la Radeon HD 7970 più veloce al mondo.

HIS fa sapere, più in dettaglio, che una configurazione multi-gpu basata su quattro 7970 X connesse in 4-way Crossfire ha fatto registrare due record mondiali con i benchmark 3DMark Vantage e 3DMark 11: gli score misurati sono risultati pari rispettivamente a 84669 e 29937.

Tra le feature più rilevanti della 7970 X, che è basata sulla gpu 7970 GHz Edition di AMD, HIS cita lo stadio di alimentazione, realizzato con PWM a 18 + 1 + 1 fasi, il cooler non reference, basato sulla tecnologia proprietaria IceQ X², che genera un livello di rumore pari a 28dB, pur gestendo l'hardware che lavora in overclock, e la tecnologia iTurbo.

iTurbo è un software proprietario con cui l'utente può non soltanto monitorare in tempo reale la temperatura operativa, le tensioni di alimentazione e la velocità delle ventole ma anche impostare agevolmente l'overclock dei componenti cardine. In condizioni di default, la gpu della 7970 X lavora a 1GHz e il frame buffer a 6.0Gbps.
