Biostar ha pubblicato alcune specifiche della sua prossima motherboard TA890FXE nell'ambito della gamma T-Series e diffuso alcune info in
merito alla sua offerta che include i prodotti equipaggiati con i chipset AMD di nuova generazione 8xx, ovvero al momento 890FX, 890GX, 880G e 870X.
La TA890FXE rappresenta la soluzione di punta di Biostar in relazione alla piattaforma enthusiast 890FX, che supporta i nuovi processori Phenom II X6, oltre a HyperTransport 3.0, e prevede il ricorso al southbridge SB850, che assicura il supporto nativo per SATA 6.0Gbps.
La TA890FXE è in realtà compatibile con tutte le cpu AM3; include un PWM a 6 fasi, quattro slot PCI-Express 2.0 x16 che supportano la tecnologia ATI CrossFireX, un sottosistema audio a 7.1 canali e Gigabit Ethernet tra l'altro.
La customizzazione di Biostar è al solito di buon livello; la mancanza di supporto della funzionalità di Advanced Clock Calibration o in breve ACC, da parte del chipset SB850, utile, come è noto da tempo, per sloccare i core disabilitati di alcuni processori di AMD, è stata compensata dal maker con l'introduzione della tecnologia proprietaria "BIO-unlocKING", comune a tutte le mobo basate sui chipset della serie 8xx.
In accordo al produttore, infine, la TA890FXE è stata progettata per rispondere al meglio all'operatività in overclocking.

technology is available on every BIOSTAR 8xx series motherboard.
