Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, NVIDIA e TSMC hanno celebrato in maniera congiunta la commercializzazione della miliardesima GPU di classe GeForce, naturalmente, come tutte le precedenti altre, progettata da NVIDIA e fabbricata da TSMC.
Le aziende sottolineano che un simile risultato, segno inequivocabile di una efficiente collaborazione a lungo termine, è stato raggiunto in meno di 12 anni.
Dalla PR si apprende che a partire dalla prima GeForce, "la tecnologia dei processori grafici è divenuta circa 1000 volte più complessa", secondo NVIDIA; tuttavia TSMC si è mostrata in grado si supportare i progetti del partner statunitense spingendo sempre più sul livello di integrazione.
