TUL Corporation ha annunciato la video card PowerColor SCS3 HD6850 (cfr. la foto seguente), una soluzione basata sulla gpu Radeon HD 6850 di AMD che può vantare la completa assenza di rumore in virtà della dotazione di un cooler di tipo passivo.

Quello adottato da TUL è un sistema di raffreddamento altamente efficiente, poichè ha consentito al produttore di conservare i valori reference per le frequenze di clock della gpu (775MHz) e della RAM (1000MHz), pur rinunciando alla classica ventola.

Il dissipatore del cooler è molto ampio sia in lunghezza (esso ricopre sostanzialmente tutto il PCB, ndr) che in altezza; è costituito da 62 lamelle, le quali ricevono l'energia termica da 5 heat pipe ad alte prestazioni.

TUL fa sapere che la PowerColor SCS3 HD6850 rispetta la specifica "Gold Power Kit", per cui include un VRM a 3 + 1 fasi, condensatori a stato solido e induttori schermati.
