KFA2 ha annunciato la video card GeForce GTX 580 MDT X4 EX OC (cfr. le foto seguenti), una soluzione, basata sulla gpu di GeForce GTX 580, che il board maker ha fortemente personalizzato.

La GeForce GTX 580 MDT X4 EX OC è infatti una scheda grafica "factory-overclocked", in cui il core grafico lavora a 840MHz e gli shader a 1600Mhz; la frequenza di clock della memoria RAM (1538MB di G-DDR5) è pari a 3800MHz (in valore effettivo), mentre l'interfaccia tra gpu e frame buffer è implementata con un bus a 384-bit.

La stabilità termica del prodotto è assicurata da un cooler attivo, dotato di tre ventole, le cui dimensioni sono sostanzialmente allineate a quelle del PCB; una struttura irradiante in alluminio è inoltre applicata anche al lato posteriore del circuito stampato, ovvero a quello che non ospita il chip grafico.

La GeForce GTX 580 MDT X4 EX OC, che è dotata di una connettore di uscita di tipo Display Port e di tre mini-HDMI, può gestire fino a quattro monitor simultaneamente: uno viene collegato all'uscita DP e tre alle mini-HDMI operanti in una modalità che il produttore indica come "span monitor" e permette di attuare il surround gaming in HD.

In tale modalità i tre monitor connessi alle tre porte mini-HDMI lavorano come un unico monitor virtuale che presenta all'utente un desktop con una risoluzione video complessiva pari a 5760 x 1080 @ 50Hz (3 x 1920 x 1080), oppure a 4098 x 768 @ 60 Hz (3 x 1366 x 768).
