All’edizione 2012 del Computex di Taipei QNAP Systems, Inc. forte dei successi raggiunti nel mercato dello storage di rete, presenta le nuove soluzioni NAS con capacità fino a 400TB, i nuovi modelli con interfaccia disco SAS sviluppati per il mondo business e l’intera gamma di prodotti Turbo NAS e VioStor NVR. Nel corso dell’evento sarà inoltre possibile visionare il nuovo Firmware NAS 3.7, che introduce numerose novità dal punto di vista delle funzionalità multimediali e business.

Soluzioni NAS da 400TB
QNAP ha pensato tutti quelli a cui lo spazio messo a disposizione dalla serie Turbo NAS x79 non basta. Le nuove unità di espansione JB-1200U e JB-1600U offrono agli amministratori di rete la possibilità di espandere la capacità fino a 400TB, una possibilità che permette alle aziende di investire progressivamente sullo spazio di archiviazione.

"Diamo la possibilità alle aziende di investire flessibilmente il loro denaro, senza dover per investire da subito somme considerevoli" afferma David Tsao, product manager di QNAP. "Offriamo soluzioni flessibili che permettono alle aziende di investire in ulteriore spazio di archiviazione quando la situazione lo richiede".

Modelli NAS SAS affidabili
Ci sono dei nuovi arrivi nella famiglia di prodotti Turbo NAS professionali. Si tratta dei nuovi modelli per ambienti data center con supporto a dischi fissi con interfaccia SAS. "E’ importante per noi capire le esigenze delle aziende con prodotti e soluzioni dedicate. I modelli Turbo NAS con interfaccia disco SAS rispondono pienamente alla sempre crescente domanda del mondo business che richiede prodotti affidabili e con prestazioni elevate" ha poi aggiunto David Tsao.

Firmware NAS V3.7
Nel corso dell’evento è stato reso pubblico anche il nuovo Firmware NAS V3.7 con nuove funzionalità professionali come il supporto a Windows ACL (lista di controllo degli accessi) e nuove cartelle specifiche per ogni utente. Sul fronte mobile segnaliamo i nuovi Qfile e QManager. La prima applicazione permette trasferire file da e verso i terminali mobili, mentre la seconda permette di accedere a funzionalità diagnostiche controllando lo stato del sistema. E’ stata inoltre integrata la nuova stazione di video sorveglianza Surveillance Station Pro. Per quanto riguarda la gestione del sistema sono state aggiunte molteplici nuove funzioni tra cui il cestino di rete, QNAP Finder per Mac e Linux ed un miglioramente delle prestazioni nella copia diretta da unità USB collegate.

QNAP non ha certo dimenticato le funzionalità multimediali con le migliorate versioni della Photo Station, QiTunesAir, Download Station, HappyGet e Live Station che migliorano l’esperienza audiovisiva con foto, musica e video.

Nuovi sistemi di video sorveglianza di rete VioStor NVR
Non possono certo mancare le innovazioni della divisione QNAP Security dedicate alla video sorveglianza. Il nuovo VS-12164U-RP Pro offre la potenza di un processore Intel Xeon E3 Quad-core e memorie ECC DDR3 che permettono il monitoraggio audio-video in tempo reale, e la visione e la registrazione simultanea di telecamere IP multiple con risoluzione fino a 10 megapixel.

Il VS-12164U-RP offre fino a 48TB di spazio con varie configurazioni RAID. E’ possibile registrare nei formati H.264, MxPEG, MPEG-4, e M-JPEG e fino a 64 telecamere IP.

Il sistema centralizzato di gestione (CMS) basato su Linux di QNAP è un’innovativa ed avanzata soluzione di monitoraggio ideale per operatività 24/7 di cui sarà possibile visionare un’interessante anteprima nel corso del Computex 2012 di Tapiei.

At the COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2012 QNAP Systems, Inc. showcased its first NAS expansion solution with up to 400TB storage capacity, and new SAS interface NAS models, aiming to fulfill the storage needs of high-end SMBs. Also at the event QNAP displayed the full-spectrum of its Turbo NAS series and VioStor NVR series, and presented the upgraded NAS management firmware V3.7 with numerous enhanced business and home environment applications.

400TB NAS solution

The new additions designed for the QNAP TS-x79 series Turbo NAS, the JB-1200U and JB-1600U, provide a flexible solution for IT administrators to expand the total capacity of the Turbo NAS up to 400TB, allowing businesses to start from small and add storage capacity according to budget allowances and growth requirements. "The great solution will relieve IT administrators from having to invest big at initial setup," said David Tsao, product manager of QNAP. "The solution can largely reduce inflexibility in IT budget allocation for businesses that do not see rapid growth of storage demand in the near future, but in some point of time afterward."

Trustworthy SAS NAS models

New Turbo NAS models with SAS hard drive support were presented to work in the data center environment. "We understand the importance of high reliability for business IT operations," commented David Tsao. "Turbo NAS models with SAS drives support answers business' needs for a reliable and trustworthy NAS solution for the sophisticated business IT environment."

New NAS V3.7 Firmware

QNAP also demonstrated the new V3.7 NAS management firmware. It provides highly anticipated features for advanced business applications with complete Windows ACL and user home folders. The mobility solution extends with new mobile apps of Qfile and Qmanager to provide easier Turbo NAS operations and management. Surveillance Station Pro further strengthens the surveillance features on the Turbo NAS. New features on system management, including enhanced network recycle bin, QNAP Finder for Mac and Linux, and the enhanced USB one-touch-copy, effectively raise business efficiency. New multimedia applications and enhancements of Photo Station, QiTunesAir, and Download Station further enrich recreational life with photos, music, and videos.

New VioStor NVR Video Surveillance Systems

Capture HD video with robust and reliable storage from QNAP Security. The newest high-end Linux-based 64-channel VS-12164U-RP Pro, featuring the powerful Quad-core Intel Xeon E3 Processor and ECC DDR3 memory, provides real-time audio-video monitoring, simultaneous playback of multiple network cameras and megapixel recording at up to 10-megapixel resolution.

The VS-12164U-RP Pro can store up to 48 TB of footage or 4 TB per hard drive, and supports various RAID types for data redundancy. In terms of recording, the VS-12164U-RP Pro can record H.264, MxPEG, MPEG-4, and M-JPEG formats from up to 64 network cameras.

QNAP's Linux-embedded and highly reliable CMS (Centralized Management System) server provides a turnkey solution on surveillance integrating system hardware and software for 24x7 operations.
