VTX3D ha annunciato la sua implementazione della soluzione dual-gpu Radeon HD7990. Siglata VTX3D HD7990, la nuova video card, che come al solito utilizza due gpu AMD "Tahity" ad alte prestazioni, è equipaggiata con un dual-BIOS che, in abbinamento a uno switch hardware, le consente di lavorare con i core grafici delle gpu a 900MHz (modalità di default) oppure a 925MHz (modalità OC, OverClocked).

In entrambi i casi il frame buffer, implementato con 6GB di RAM G-DDR5, lavora con una frequenza pari a 1375MHz in termini di valore fisico, o a 5.5GHz ove si consideri quello effettivo, trattandosi di chip G-DDR5; lo scambio dei dati con i processori grafici avviene mediante due canali dedicati, ciascuno dei quali vanta una banda pari a 384-bit.

Il kit di connettori di uscita è composto da una porta dual-link DVI, una single-link DVI-D, una HDMI e due mini DisplayPort, mentre l'elenco delle tecnologie supportate include AMD HD3D, AMD PowerPlay, AMD Eyefinity e Microsoft DirectX 11.
