MSI ha ampliato il catalogo di video card basate sulla gpu AMD Radeon annunciando la R7 260 1GD5 OC, una soluzione non reference e factory-overclocked, basata sulla gpu Radeon R7 260 di Advanced Micro Devices.

Più in dettaglio, il core grafico della gpu della R7 260 1GD5 OC include 768 stream processor e lavora a 1050MHz di default; il frame buffer, invece, è realizzato con 1GB di RAM G-DDR5 ed ha una velocità effettiva pari a 6GHz. Il bus che interconnette il processore grafico con il frame buffer è a 128-bit.

L'elevata efficienza del cooler della video card, che integra un'ampia ventola da 10cm, e il supporto del tweaker Afterburner, che consente l'overvolting della tensione del core e la regolazione della velocità di rotazione della ventola, oltre all'overclocking in senso stretto, consente, in accordo a MSI, la configurazione di una frequenza di clock massima pari a 1.35GHz per il core grafico.

La Radeon R7 260 1GD5 OC di MSI supporta tutte le recenti tecnologie di AMD, tra cui TrueAudio, con cui il carico computazionale sulla CPU viene ridotto fino al 14% rispetto al caso dei sistemi con chip audio integrato, CrossFire e Eyefinity (la scheda può gestire fino a 6 display).
