Milano, 13 Gennaio 2009 - Seagate (NYSE: STX) presenta il nuovo disco fisso Barracuda 7200.12, il primo hard disk per pc desktop con la più alta densità di storage del settore.

Il Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 è un hard disk da 3,5" pollici SATA da 7200 giri al minuto (RPM) con 1 TB di capacità distribuiti su due piatti da 500 GB l’uno e con una densità di 329 gigabit per pollice quadrato. Il nuovo disco fornisce la miglior combinazione di capacità, prestazioni e affidabilità per PC, configurazioni RAID per desktop e sistemi di archiviazione esterna.

Il disco fisso Barracuda 7200.12 fornisce una combinazione di capienza e performance necessarie per le più esigenti applicazioni di PC desktop. Il disco è dotato di un’ interfaccia Serial ATA da 3Gb al secondo e offre una velocità di trasferimento dati fino a 160MB al secondo.

Il Barracuda 7200.12 è offerto anche con capacità di 750GB e 500GB con cache da 32MB o 16MB.

The 3.5-inch drive is also offered in capacities of 750GB and 500GB with cache options of 32MB and 16MB.
