Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, MSI ha annunciato la scheda grafica mainstream siglata R5670-PMD1Gz, che è realizzata intorno alla gpu ATI Radeon HD 5670, ed in quanto tale supporta le nuove tecnologie DirectX 11 e ATI Eyefinity, secondo una implementazione che si discosta da quella reference per almeno tre motivazioni.
La R5670-PMD1Gz permette infatti la regolazione della tensione di alimentazione della gpu (ai fini di overclock) via software, include inoltre una uscita di tipo DisplayPort ed è dotata infine di componenti di elevata qualità, tipicamente impiegati nell'ambito militare: in particolare, tutti i condensatori e gli induttori con cui è equipaggiata sono a stato solido. In tal modo il circuito opera con maggiore stabilità e promette una vita fisica più lunga, oltre a una maggiore propensione per il funzionamento in overclock.
Oltre all'uscita DisplayPort, la R5670-PMD1Gz esibisce una porta DVI e una HDMI: con l'ausilio della tecnologia ATI Eyefinity, questa card può quindi controllare simultaneamente tre display.
