TUL Corporation ha annunciato la scheda grafica PowerColor LCS HD5970 2GB GDDR5, una soluzione che abbina all'architettura dual-gpu ATI Radeon HD5970 un sistema di raffreddamento a liquido che può ridurre la temperatura di esercizio di 30° rispetto alle prestazioni ottenibili con la soluzione reference.
Forte di una simile peculiarità, la PowerColor LCS HD5970 2GB GDDR5 è di conseguenza un prodotto indicato per gli overclocker e che ha nel proprio DNA una forte propensione verso le massime performance.
Il produttore ha impostato di default le gpu a 750MHz e la RAM a 1050MHz; il bus di collegamento ha una ampiezza di 2 x 256-bit. Tra le tecnologie supportate citiamo DirectX 11, Eyefinity e CrossFireX. Il suo bundle include il game DiRT2: la PowerColor LCS HD5970 2GB GDDR5 sarà lanciata sul mercato il 21 gennaio.

PowerColor LCS HD5970 has a full water block mounted, which fully covers the memory and power regulator chip. With a copper base design, it is reduces temperature up to 30°C compared with the reference version. PowerColor packages a high-flow 3/8" and 1/2" fittings (barbs) to maximize water flow with captured o-rings to prevent leakage. Gamers can effortlessly customize their own liquid cooling system using these two fittings.
