Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, SPARKLE Computer ha annunciato la scheda grafica SPARKLE GeForce GT 220 2GB, la prima GT 220 sul mercato in grado di vantare una dotazione di memoria locale pari a 2GB. Le specifiche della video card sono per il resto sostanzialmente allineate al design reference previsto da NVIDIA.

Più in dettaglio, la gpu lavora a 625MHz mentre la memoria video, che è di tipo DDR2, opera a 800MHz. I 48 stream processor integrati nella gpu lavorano a 1360MHz e il bus che collega il core grafico alla RAM è a 128-bit.

La SPARKLE GeForce GT 220 2GB, che è compliant con PCI-Express 2.0 ed include esclusivamente condensatori a stato solido, rende disponibili le uscite video D-Sub e DVI, e audio/video HDMI; tra le tecnologie supportate citiamo DirectX 10.1, Shader Model 4.0, OpenGL 3.2, NVIDIA PhysX, NVIDIA CUDA, PureVideo HD e HDMI 1.3a.
