Rockstar Games annuncia il periodo di lancio di Max Payne 3

Il publisher Rockstar Games ha ufficializzato la data, o più precisamente il periodo, di rilascio del suo atteso shooter Max Payne 3, terzo episodio della serie di Max Payne, già nota sia agli appassionati di gaming che di cinema.

In accordo al seguente comunicato stampa di Rockstar Games, Max Payne 3 sarà disponibile in triplice edizione, al fine di supportare le piattaforme di gioco in HD, ovvero Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3 e i PC, nel corso del mese di marzo 2012, nei mercati del Nord America e dell'Europa.

Il publisher promette interessanti novità in Max Payne 3, il cui lavoro di sviluppo non viene eseguito da Remedy Entertainment, la software house creatrice di Max Payne 2, ma dagli studi della stessa Rockstar Games, che assicura una notevole cura sia per i contenuti physics che per il rendering 3D in generale, in virtù del motore grafico proprietario Advanced Game Engine.

A distinguere ulteriormente il prossimo episodio di Max Payne dai precedenti sarà anche la possibilità di affrontare una esperienza di gioco non soltanto in single-player ma anche in multi-player, e, inoltre, il detective Max Payne, ancora al centro dei giochi, sposterà la sua azione da New York City alla città di San Paolo, in Brasile.

Rockstar Games, infine, ha colto l'occasione del comunicato per distribuire anche i seguenti nuovi screenshots di Max Payne 3.

When gangs target the family under his protection, Max is forced to fight to save his clients and clear his name, in a bid to, once and for all, rid himself of the demons that have tortured him for far too long.

Picking up where the release of Max Payne 2 from series creator Remedy Entertainment left off, Max Payne 3 is a true cross-studio collaboration between Rockstar Games' global development teams. The game utilizes cutting edge technology for a seamless, cinematic action experience, incorporating the latest advances in Natural Motion physics and a brand new iteration of Rockstar's own Rockstar Advanced Game Engine. The result offers highly-refined gameplay, with an extensive range of realistic weaponry, an intelligent cover system and sophisticated Bullet-Time mechanics.

In addition to an expansive single-player campaign, Max Payne 3 will be the first title in the series to introduce an addictive multiplayer experience.
