Motorola lancia il computer Android-based HMC3260 per il cloud

Motorola Mobility, una organizzazione controllata da Google, ha annunciato il lancio, in collaborazione con la società cinese WASU Digital Group, fornitrice di servizi per le reti via cavo e TLC, del computer HMC3260, una soluzione equipaggiata con il Sistema Operativo Android e progettata per offrire all'utente una ampia gamma di servizi legati al cloud computing.

Il nuovo HMC3260 di Motorola Mobility, che è denominato Cloud Broadband da WASU, include un display touch-screen da 18.5-inch basato su un pannello LCD LED, oltre a un mouse e una tastiera wireless. Con questo computer è possibile accedere ai contenuti televisi, tra cui i film, game e altri servizi basati sullo standard DOCSIS, trasmessi da WASU. Oltre, ovviamente, a navigare sul Web ed eseguire le App disponibili per i sistemi Android.

Al momento sia Motorola che WASU non hanno annnunciato il prezzo del sistema, destinato peraltro al mercato cinese.

Launched today in Beijing, the Motorola HMC3260 cloud computer uses an Android-powered, 18.5-inch LED touchscreen display to provide consumers easy access to digital TV, movies, games, web browsing, apps and other DOCSIS*-based services on demand. The Motorola HMC3260 – dubbed Cloud Broadband by WASU – is specially designed for service providers who deliver a variety of video, interactive broadcast, and Over-The-Top (OTT) services over hybrid fiber coax networks.

The Cloud Broadband device enables WASU’s customers to access to a host of cloud entertainment services such as an extensive library of on-demand high-definition media, games, applications and storage space. WASU chose Motorola’s ‘all-in-one’ device for its ability to deliver innovative and compelling, combined entertainment and connectivity services. Its sleek, simple design and stunning 18.5" LED touch-screen offers WASU’s customers an attractive way to consume high-definition media in the home whilst staying connected with friends and family via broadband.
