La versione per PC del prossimo game THIEF di Square Enix, un vero e proprio reboot della famosa serie, sarà ottimizzata per le configurazioni hardware basate sulla piattaforma AMD. Ad annunciarlo è la stessa Advanced Micro Devices con l'ausilio del comunicato stampa che vi proponiamo di seguito in lingua originale.
AMD e Square Enix, publisher di THIEF, hanno collaborato al fine di ottimizzare il nuovo THIEF per l'architettura Graphics Core Next delle Radeon e per i sottosistemi grafici integrati nelle APU della linea A-Series.
Ne consegue che il prossimo titolo di Square Enix sarà notevolmente compatibile le feature e le tecnologie tipiche dei prodotti AMD, tra le quali Eyefinity, per il gaming multi-display, e CrossFire, per la realizzazione di topologie multi-gpu.

AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced exclusive collaboration with Square Enix to optimize "THIEF" for the Graphics Core Next architecture in select AMD Radeon graphics processors, as well as the x86 and graphics architectures featured in AMD A-Series APUs. Developed in conjunction with the AMD Gaming Evolved program, "THIEF" will extensively leverage the advanced capabilities of AMD Radeon graphics processors, including AMD Eyefinity multi-display technology for panoramic gaming, AMD CrossFire multi-GPU technology for supreme performance, and state-of-the-art DirectX 11 rendering for pristine image quality.

Square Enix is present at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) with a wide variety of games and demonstrations to be discovered and experienced hands-on in the South Hall at booth #1647, or online with the Square Enix Presents YouTube channel.
