HIS lancia la R9 280X iPower IceQX2 Turbo Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5

Hightech Information System (HIS) ha annunciato la Radeon R9 280X iPower IceQX2 Turbo Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5, una video card non reference, basata sulla gpu Radeon R9 280X di AMD, progettata per rendere al meglio in condizioni di overclocking anche molto spinto.

I progettisti di HIS hanno infatti equipaggiato questa card con uno stadio di alimentazione sovradimensionato, basato sulla tecnologia proprietaria iPower, che consente al processore grafico di lavorare, in termini di core grafico, con una frequenza di clock pari a 1000MHz di default (il corrispondente valore reference è pari a 850MHz).

Inoltre, l'utente può spingere ulteriormente verso l'alto le frequenze di clock dei componenti cardine con l'utility iTurbo, che rende disponibili anche funzionalità di monitoring della temperatura e della tensione, oltre a quelle relative all'overclocking.

Le prestazioni della R9 280X iPower IceQX2 Turbo Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5 sono stabilizzate non soltanto dal VRM ma anche dal suo sistema di raffreddamento, un cooler non reference che implementa la tecnologia proprietaria IceQX2 e, nonostante l'equipaggiamento con due ventole, promette livelli di rumorosità molto bassi anche con i game di ultima generazione.

Armed with iPower design, the extra PWM phases provide the card with higher and more stable power output which leads to a better-than-expected overclocking. In comparison with 850MHz of the reference board, the core clock of the card has been by default set at 1000MHz.
