There is a new SAGE release from Daniel Borca: the author tested this driver with Voodoo2 only on Windows OS and with Voodoo1/Voodoo2 on Slackware Linux distribution. So the feedback of Banshee/Voodoo3/4/5 users will be appreciated a lot.
About SAGE
SAGE is a OpenGL driver: its code is not based on Mesa nor it is based on OpenGL Sample Implementation code but it just reflects a idea of author about implementing a clean vertex engine. The goal of SAGE OpenGL driver is to extend old hardware compatibility, like 3dfx Voodoo2 cards, with some newer OpenGL games and to improve OpenGL rendering of last 3dfx cards like Voodoo4/5 series.
SAGE Installation on Windows
To run a game using SAGE driver, you just copy opengl32.dll library into the main game folder (typically that includes the .exe file to launch the application). For example, you can use SAGE with the first Unreal Tournament simply putting opengl32.dll into UnrealTournament\System directory and choosing "OpenGL Support" as 3D rendering video device.
