AMD lancia il programma e la piattaforma AMD GAME!

AMD ha lanciato ufficialmente il programma AMD GAME!; nelle intenzioni del chip-maker statunitense il nuovo brand deve divenire inequivocabilmente sinonimo di gaming ad alte prestazioni e di intrattenimento multimediale ad alta definizione. AMD GAME! abbina gli attuali processori Phenom e i prossimi Turion Ultra alle schede grafiche di classe ATI Radeon HD 3000.

System builder del caribro di Alienware, Cyberpower, iBuypower, Maingear e Velocity Micro supportano AMD GAME! e commercializzeranno i primi sistemi "AMD GAME! Ready" nella seconda metà dell'anno. Il nuovo programma AMD è supportato inoltre da Acer, Logitech e Microsoft.

This program is designed to help consumers select perfectly suited PCs for high-definition gaming. According to Jon Peddie Research, of all desktop and notebook PCs sold last year, two-thirds had only the most basic of capabilities, lacking the technology needed to drive a great gaming experience. AMD recognizes this and is working to provide a consistent source of reliable and accurate information before and at the point of purchase for gaming consumers.
