Samsung sceglie la cpu VIA Nano U2250 per il notebook NC20

Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, VIA Technologies ha annunciato l'utilizzo da parte di Samsung del suo processore a basso consumo di potenza Nano U2250 da 1.3+GHz per l'equipaggiamento del mini-notebook NC20, visualizzato nelle foto che seguono.

Il processore è installato su una motherboard costruita intorno al chipset VIA VX800 Unified Digital Media IGP, che integra la gpu Chrome9, dotata di supporto in hardware di DirectX 9.0, e gestisce il display da 12.1-inch con una risoluzione di 1280x800, ed è dotata di 1GB di RAM DDR2.

Tra le feature del mini-notebook, che ha un disco di tipo HDD da 160GB o SSD in base alla scelta dell'utente, segnaliamo le connettività wireless 802.11b/g e Bluetooth e wireline Ethernet a 10/100Mbps, tre porte USB, una camera da 1.3MPx, un memory card reader 3-in-1 e una batteria a ioni di Litio a 6 celle che, in accordo al produttore, assicura una autonomia massima di 6.5 ore.

Il Sistema Operativo del mini-notebook NC20 è Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.

Combining the power efficient 1.3+GHz VIA Nano processor with the highly-integrated VIA VX800 system media processor, the Samsung NC20 also features a stunning 1280x800 12.1" display, ensuring an outstanding video experience and enabling a full-size 12" notebook keyboard with optimized 18.5mm key spacing and larger touchpad in a highly portable device that weighs just 1.52kg.

Mobility is enhanced by 802.11b/g and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and a six-cell battery that provides up to 6.5 hours of use independent of any power supply, while storage options include either a solid state disk or a SATA hard disk drive. Other features include an integrated 1.3 mega pixel digital motion camera, 3-in-1 memory card reader and three built-in USB ports.
