Sapphire annuncia edizioni FleX e Vapor-X per le HD 6770 e 6750

SAPPHIRE Technology rafforza la sua attuale gamma di schede grafiche con l’introduzione di nuovi modelli della serie HD 6700 rivolti a chi desideri avvalersi delle più recenti innovazioni, quali la tecnologia multischermo Eyefinity e la visione HD 3D stereoscopica.

Tutte le schede introdotte presentano GPU AMD DX11 di seconda generazione e con funzionalità di decodifica video hardware con AMD UVD (Universal Video Decoder), ora alla terza generazione, nonché il supporto Blu-Ray 3D con output HDMI 1.4a; supportano inoltre appieno la tecnologia AMD APP Acceleration, grazie all’elaborazione con Stream Processors, e la tecnologia multi-schermo Eyefinity. Eyefinity offre agli utenti non solo la capacità di eseguire giochi su più monitor, ma anche di lavorare su tre o più schermi come se fosse una unica grande singola superficie, con il vantaggio di un incremento della produttività per applicazioni quali photo editing, creazione di musica e di documenti.

La famiglia SAPPHIRE HD 6770 include due modelli con 800 Stream processors, core clocks a 850MHz, 1GB o 512MB di memoria GDDR5 e uscite DVI, HDMI e DisplayPort. E’ inoltre disponibile un modello overclocked dotato del pluripremiato sistema di raffreddamento SAPPHIRE Vapor-X, che garantisce efficienza e silenziosità, e con la configurazione Dual DVI, HDMI e DisplayPort.

Al top di gamma è la HD 6770 1GB FleX Edition, che integra la funzionalità, esclusiva SAPPHIRE, di consentire il collegamento di tre monitor DVI in modalità Eyefinity, senza la necessità di utilizzare l’uscita DisplayPort o adattatori attivi, e permette la ulteriore connessione di fino a quattro monitor utilizzando l’uscita DisplayPort.

Sono inoltre disponibili due modelli della famiglia SAPPHIRE HD 6750, dotati di 720 stream processor, core clock a 700MHz e le opzioni di 1GB o 512MB di memoria con uscite DVI, HDMI e DisplayPort. Un terzo modello, l’HD6750 1GB Vapor-X, è overcloccato e con uscite Dual DVI, HDMI e DisplayPort.

La serie SAPPHIRE HD 6000 è supportata dal driver grafico certificato WHQL AMD Catalyst, che garantisce pieno supporto DirectX 11, incluse le istruzioni DirectCompute 11, la tessellazione hardware e le comunicazioni multi-threaded con la CPU di sistema. Questa serie supporta inoltre tutte le funzionalità della tecnologia AMD APP Acceleration, utilizzando l’elaborazione con Stream Processors, per accelerare le applicazioni di navigazione, video transcoding e rendering supportate, eseguendo le istruzioni attraverso la GPU grafica e non la CPU di sistema.

SAPPHIRE Technology has just strengthened its current range of graphics cards with the introduction of several new models in the HD 6700 series aimed at users wanting to benefit from the latest features including multi-screen displays and stereoscopic 3D output.

Several models will be introduced in the HD 6700 series offering a choice of memory configurations and outputs. All of them feature DX 11 engines from AMD and on-board hardware video decoding with the AMD UVD (universal Video Decoder) supporting Blu-Ray 3D for stereoscopic 3D over HDMI 1.4a. They all support AMD APP Acceleration with Stream processing as well as AMD Eyefinity multi-screen technology. Eyefinity gives users the ability not only to play games on multiple monitors, but also to work across three or more monitors as though it were one large monitor, bringing huge productivity benefits to applications such as photo editing, music creation and document creation.

The SAPPHIRE HD 6770 family includes two models with 800 Stream processors and core clocks of 850MHz with either 1GB or 512MB of GDRR5 memory and DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. There is also an overclocked model with SAPPHIRE’s award winning Vapor-X cooler for quiet and efficient operation with the output configuration of Dual DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

At the top of the range is the HD 6770 1GB FleX Edition, which additionally incorporates the SAPPHIRE exclusive feature to allow three DVI monitors to be connected in Eyefinity mode, without the need to use the DisplayPort output or active adapters, and allows up to four monitors to be enabled if the DisplayPort output is used.

There will also be two models in the SAPPHIRE HD 6750 family, which has the slightly smaller configuration of 720 Stream processors, with 700MHz clock speeds and again including 1GB and 512MB memory options with DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. In addition there will be an HD 6750 1GB Vapor-X model, overclocked and with Dual DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

The SAPPHIRE HD 6000 series is supported by AMD's Catalyst DirectX 11 WHQL certified graphics driver which together with this generation of hardware delivers support for all of the key DirectX 11 level features including DirectCompute 11 instructions, hardware Tessellation and multi-threaded communications with the system CPU. They also support AMD APP Acceleration, - using Stream processing to accelerate supported applications such as browsing, video transcoding and rendering tasks by executing instructions on the GPU architecture rather than the system CPU.
