GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd., a world-leading VGA card manufacturer, today announces GV-RX18, GV-RX16 and GV-RX13 series that will feature the revolutionary 90- nanometer Radeon X1800, X1600 and X1300-series of visual processors. The GV-RX18, GV-RX16 and GV-RX13 are manufactured with 90 nanometer technology that, together with ATI's new Radeon X1000-series architecture, generates less heat while achieving new clock speed and memory speed records for tomorrow's demanding applications.

Features of the new GIGABYTE's GV-RX18, GV-RX16 and GV-RX13 series include an ultra-threaded 3D core architecture and full support for Microsoft Direct X 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 for unprecedented graphics rendering performance and blazingly fast graphics processing speeds. Furthermore, parts of the GV-RX18, GV-RX16 and GV-RX13 series also include GIGABYTE's unique VGA card solutions, such as powerful Turbo Force Technology and soundless Silent-Pipe thermal design, which delivers the unrivaled 3D performance and system stability for PC gaming. The flag-ship GV-RX18 series features a 512-bit ring-bus memory controller with the fastest available rendering engine, a new cache design and improved Hyper Z technology to ensure outstanding data flow.

Providing futuristic image quality, the GV-RX18, GV-RX16 and GV-RX13 series include 3Dc image enhancement technology and support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) that takes advantage of subtle light, texture, and color intricacies to create incredibly realistic environments. This is achieved by representing color and intensity values with higher levels of precision to improve the details in terms of characters and scenes. Additionally, it also introduces an advanced anti-aliasing engine, dynamic soft shadow technology, and unique Parallax Occlusion Mapping that, through ray-tracing technology, simulates the natural ray refraction and ensuring unbelievable graphics realism.

In addition to image quality improvement, the GV-RX18, GV-RX16 and GV-RX13 series are all equipped with a new modular video and display platform from ATI called Avivo that provides vibrant high fidelity video playback. Avivo technology allows the user's PC to act as a media through its video pipeline design that includes the latest high definition video hardware acceleration. What's more, with its universal connectivity, Avivo makes it easy to connect all kinds of digital devices, such as home theater systems, LCD monitors, HDTVs, projectors, and Notebooks.
