Capcom annuncia le date di lancio del game Resident Evil 6

Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, la nipponica Capcom ha annunciato la data di lancio di Resident Evil 6, ultimo episodio in ordine di tempo della serie survival horror di Resident Evil (nota come "Biohazard" in Giappone, ndr), il cui successo è stato tale da coinvolgere non soltanto il settore dei videogame ma anche quello cinematografico.

Capcom ha ufficializzato che le edizioni di Resident Evil 6 per le piattaforme di gioco Sony PlayStation 3 e Microsoft Xbox 360 saranno disponibili il prossimo 20 novembre in Europa e Nord America, e il successivo 22 novembre in Giappone. Parimenti, la data di lancio della edizione per PC non è stata resa nota.

Capcom ha colto l'occasione per ricordare che l'intera serie di Resident Evil, il cui debutto risale al 1996, ha fatto registrare, fino al 31 dicembre 2011, un volume di copie vendute pari a 47 milioni, dei quali 5.8 milioni sono dedicate a Resident Evil 5, il titolo top-performer dell'intera serie dal punto di vista del successo commerciale.

"Resident Evil" is a series of survival horror games in which players attempt to escape from zombies by using a variety of weapons and other items. Cumulative sales of this series total 47 million units*2 since the first title debuted in 1996, making it Capcom's flagship game series. "Resident Evil 5", the most recent title in the series, went on sale in March 2009 and ranks first among "Resident Evil" titles with global shipments of 5.8 million units*3. These figures demonstrate that even today, 15 years after the debut of the first "Resident Evil" game, this series remains very popular worldwide.

Capcom aims to position "Resident Evil 6" as the company's leading title in order to continue building on past success in the global video game market.
