Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, PowerColor ha lanciato la scheda grafica PCS HD4850 2GB. Si tratta di una Radeon HD 4850 equipaggiata con 2Gb di RAM G-DDR3, che garantiscono una banda massima di 57.6GB/sec.
A caratterizzare questo prodotto, che è basato sul chip grafico RV770 al pari di ogni altra HD 4850, è inoltre la dotazione del sistema di raffreddamento PCS (Professional Cooling System), basato sul concetto ingegneristico della retroazione: un sensore rileva la temperatura nei punti vitali della card e in base al valore misurato viene regolata la velocità di rotazione della ventola.
PowerColor ha colto l'occasione per sottolineare che la gamma HD 4850 include anche due versioni equipaggiate con 512Mb e 1Gb di V-RAM; al pari del modello flag-ship, queste schede supportano le tecnologie Microsoft DirectX 10.1, CrossFireX, PCI Express 2.0 ed includono il cooler PCS.
