Lexar Media lancia gli SSD Crucial RealSSD C300 da 1.8-inch

A circa quattro mesi dal lancio delle unità SSD Crucial RealSSD C300 da 2.5-inch (cfr. questo documento per approfondire, ndr), Lexar Media ha ufficializzato nuove versioni di tali drive a stato solido caratterizzate da un form factor di 1.8-inch, il cui target naturale è rappresentato dai sistemi mobile di ridotte dimensioni, come i notebook sottili, i netbook e i tablet PC, per i quali lo spazio per l'installazione della memoria di massa rappresenta naturalmente un fattore critico.

In accordo al produttore, i nuovi Crucial RealSSD C300 da 1.8-inch, che dal punto di vista tecnologico sono basati su chip di NAND MLC (Multi-Level Cell) e supportano lo standard di interconnessione con gli host SATA 6Gb/s, o SATA III, sono in grado di fornire una velocità massima in lettura pari a 355MB/s mentre il transfer rate massimo in lettura è pari a 215MB/s.

I nuovi Crucial RealSSD C300 da 1.8-inch, più piccoli di circa il 40% rispetto ai modelli equivalenti da 2.5-inch, sono disponibili in tre differenti capacità, pari a 64GB, 128GB e 256GB. L'entry-point di gamma ha un MSRP pari a $149.99.

The new Crucial RealSSD C300 1.8", like the standard 2.5" format, is available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities, and comes with a limited three-year warranty.
