SAPPHIRE annuncia le video card HD 6870 FleX e HD 5670 Flex

SAPPHIRE Technology ha di recente aggiunto due nuovi modelli alla famiglia di schede grafiche FleX, che supportano tre monitor in modalità Eyefinity senza necessità di DisplayPort o di adattatori attivi. SAPPHIRE HD 6870 FleX è una scheda grafica altamente performante con questa caratteristica, che consente agli appassionati gamer di usare tre monitor DVI economici senza adattatori. La nuova SAPPHIRE HD 5670 FleX è una soluzione Eyefinity di grande convenienza per ottenere maggiore produttività in applicazioni business o di editing.

Entrambe le schede SAPPHIRE HD 6870 FleX e HD 5670 Flex supportano tre monitor DVI in modalità Eyefinity e forniscono una vera area di lavoro SLS (Single Large Surface) senza la necessità di costosi adattatori attivi. Con la soluzione SAPPHIRE FleX, i primi due monitor vengono collegati alle uscite DVI come al solito, un terzo monitor DVI può essere connesso all'uscita HDMI con l'adattatore passivo in dotazione, rendendo possibile l'uso di tre monitor DVI in modalità Eyefinity senza alcun investimento aggiuntivo.

Entrambe le schede grafiche supportano comunque l'aggiunta di ulteriori monitor in modalità Eyefinity, ma gli eventuali altri monitor dovranno disporre di connessione DisplayPort o dell’aggiunta di adattatori attivi.

Con 1120 Stream processors e 1 GB della più avanzata memoria GDDR5, insieme a velocità di clock di 900MHz (core) e 1050MHz (4,2GHz effettivi) (memoria), la SAPPHIRE HD 6870 FleX garantisce prestazioni eccellenti. L'efficiente sistema di raffreddamento di queste schede con heatpipe da 8mm e cuscinetti ermetici resistenti alla polvere mantiene in efficienza la scheda che ha un funzionamento silenzioso anche a pieno carico.

SAPPHIRE HD 5670 è la scheda grafica DX11 che non richiede alimentazione esterna dalle prestazioni più elevate e rende la famiglia FleX ideale per l'upgrading di sistemi PC esistenti, con supporto per più di un monitor aggiuntivo. Dispone di 400 Stream processors e di 1 GB della più avanzata memoria GDDR5, che insieme a velocità di clock di 775MHz (core) e 1000MHz (4GHz effettivi) (memoria) garantiscono prestazioni eccellenti.

Le schede della famiglia SAPPHIRE FleX integrano un decoder UVD (Unified Video Decoder) per la decodifica hardware accelerata di contenuti su supporti Blu-ray e HD DVD, sia per i codec VC-1 e H.264 che per file Mpeg, riducendo considerevolmente il carico di lavoro sulla CPU. Il decoder UVD è in grado di decodificare simultaneamente due stream video 1080p HD e di visualizzare video HD ad alta qualità con la modalità Aero di Windows attivata. La scheda HD 5670 è dotata di HDMI 1.3a con Audio Dolby TrueHD e DTS-HD Master. La scheda HD 6870 FleX dispone di HDMI 1.4 con il supporto aggiuntivo dell'output stereoscopico.

La serie SAPPHIRE FleX è dotata del driver grafico con certificazione WHQL per DirectX 11 di AMD che supporta tutte le caratteristiche chiave di DirectX 11 richieste per nuove esperienze di gioco e per accelerare le applicazioni ad alte prestazioni della prossima generazione.

SAPPHIRE Technology has just added two new models to its FleX family of graphics cards that can support three screens in Eyefinity mode, out of the box, without the need for DisplayPort monitors or active adapters. The SAPPHIRE HD 6870 FleX is the highest performing card with this feature, allowing gamers to use low-cost DVI monitors for all three screens. The new SAPPHIRE HD 5670 FleX delivers a cost-effective Eyefinity solution for increased productivity in tasks such as editing or business applications.

Both the SAPPHIRE HD 6870 FleX and the HD 5670 Flex can support three DVI monitors in Eyefinity mode and deliver a true SLS (Single Large Surface) work area without the need for costly active adapters. With the SAPPHIRE FleX solution, the first two monitors are connected to the DVI outputs, as usual. A third DVI monitor can be connected to the HDMI output with the passive cable adapter supplied. Thus three DVI monitors can be used in Eyefinity mode without any additional investment.

With both of these graphics cards, additional monitors can be connected in Eyefinity mode, but any additional monitors do have to be DisplayPort connected. The SAPPHIRE HD 6870 FleX has 1120 Stream processors and 1GB of the latest GDDR5 memory, which together with clock speeds of 900MHz core and 1050MHz (4.2GHz effective) for the memory, make it a high performance solution. Its efficient cooler with three 8mm heatpipes and sealed dust resisting bearings keep the card cool yet running quietly even under load.

The SAPPHIRE HD 5670 is the highest performing DX11 graphics card that requires no additional power connector, making the SAPPHIRE FleX edition ideal for upgrading existing PC systems and providing additional monitor support. It has 400 Stream processors and 1GB of the latest GDDR5 memory, which together with clock speeds of 775MHz core and 1000MHz (4GHz effective) for the memory deliver excellent performance and great value.

The SAPPHIRE FleX family all have on-board hardware UVD (Unified Video decoder), considerably reducing CPU load and delivering smooth decoding of Blu-ray and HD DVD content for both VC-1 and H.264 codecs, as well as Mpeg files. The UVD can decode two 1080p HD video streams simultaneously and display HD video in high quality with Windows Aero mode enabled. The HD 5670 has HDMI 1.3a with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The HD 6870 FleX has HDMI 1.4 which additionally supports Stereoscopic output.

The SAPPHIRE FleX family is supported by AMD's DirectX 11 WHQL certified graphics driver which delivers support for all of the key DirectX 11 level features required for new gaming experiences and acceleration of next generation high performance applications.
