Sapphire lancia le motherboard PI-AM2RS780G e PC-AM2RX780

In seguito alla presentazione dell’emozionante nuova serie di chipset AMD, SAPPHIRE Technology, l'azienda leader nella produzione di soluzioni grafiche AMD/ATI ha arricchito la propria offerta di schede madri con l'introduzione di due nuovi prodotti.

Presentata per la prima volta al CeBIT 2008, la SAPPHIRE PI-AM2RS780G è una scheda madre mATX dotata di funzioni complete ma a prezzo contenuto, che presenta il nuovo chipset AMD 780G insieme al più recente south bridge SB700 e supporta la nuova modalità grafica AMD Hybrid CrossFireX Graphics. Supporta tutti i processori Socket-940 (AM2+) compatibili di AMD inclusa la nuova serie Phenom, oltre ai processori Athlon 64, FX, X2 e Sempron. Elevate prestazioni sono garantite dal bus 2000MHz HT3 e dal supporto per i moduli di memoria Dual Channel DDR2. Le impostazioni BIOS includono funzioni di ottimizzazione, e la scheda presenta il controllo della tensione core della CPU.

Per la prima volta, la soluzione grafica integrata supporta lo standard DX10 e dota di funzioni grafiche HD ad alte prestazioni i connettori sia VGA che DVI sul pannello posteriore. Inoltre, la nuova modalità Hybrid CrossFireX abilita una scheda grafica SAPPHIRE serie HD 3400, inserita nello slot di espansione PCI-Express Gen 2.0, che opera insieme alla GPU integrata utilizzando il nuovo driver Hybrid CrossFireX e garantisce prestazioni grafiche considerevolmente maggiori. Un’ulteriore possibilità di espansione è fornita dai due slot standard di settore PCI a 32 bit.

Il dispositivo I/O integrato con funzioni complete comprende 6 dispositivi seriali ATA con supporto RAID, e interfacce E-IDE e dischetto, LAN Gigabit, audio HD a 8 canali, fino a 10 dispositivi USB ad alta velocità oltre a header per porte parallele e seriali di generazione precedente.

Grazie alla nuova generazione di funzionalità CrossFire che offre, la SAPPHIRE PC-AM2RX780 è una innovativa scheda madre in formato ATX basata sul nuovo chipset AMD 770 Chipset e sul south bridge AMD SB600. Dotata ancora una volta di compatibilità Socket-940 (AM2+), la scheda supporta processori AMD Phenom, Athlon 64, FX, X2 e Sempron. Il chipset supporta velocità HT3 2000MHz Hypertransport e memoria Dual Channel DDR2 DIMMs per un totale di 8GB, portando le prestazioni a un livello entusiasmante.

Le funzioni integrate includono quattro dispositivi seriali ATA con supporto RAID, due slot di espansione per applicazioni grafiche PCI-Express 2.0 x16, supporto di AMD CrossFireX, più due PCI-Express x1 e due slot PCI standard di settore. L’estensiva funzione I/O include fino a 10 porte USB, Gigabit LAN, audio HD a 8 canali I/O con Spdif, header per porte seriali e parallele.

CrossFireX rappresenta un nuovo livello di supporto da AMD, indicato per svariate soluzioni GPU. Grazie a questa scheda madre e al più recente driver grafico, le schede SAPPHIRE della serie HD3800 possono essere utilizzate abbinate per raggiungere prestazioni grafiche ancora più elevate. Ciò include le serie HD 3850, HD 3870 e HD 3870 X2 (dual GPU), in qualsiasi combinazione, consentendo agli utenti di utilizzare 1, 2, 3 o 4 GPU insieme a CrossFireX per raggiungere prestazioni leader del settore. Supporta anche CrossFire con due schede appartenenti alle famiglie di schede grafiche basate su ATI di generazione precedente.

Entrambe le nuove schede madri sono attualmente in produzione e saranno disponibili presso SAPPHIRE e i relativi rivenditori autorizzati.

Following the introduction of the exciting new series of chipsets from AMD, SAPPHIRE Technology has just strengthened its mainboard offering with the introduction of two new products – the PI-AM2RS780G based on the AMD 780G chipset and the PC-AM2RX780 based on the AMD 770 chipset.

First shown at CeBIT 2008, the SAPPHIRE PI-AM2RS780G is a fully featured yet cost effective mATX mainboard featuring the new AMD 780G chipset together with the latest SB700 south bridge and supporting the new AMD Hybrid CrossFireX Graphics mode. It supports all the Socket-940 (AM2+) compatible processors from AMD including the new Phenom series as well as Athlon 64, FX, X2 and Sempron processors. High performance can be achieved with its 2000MHz HT3 bus and support for Dual Channel DDR2 memory modules. Optimisation features are included in the BIOS settings, and the board has CPU Core Voltage control.

For the first time, the on-board graphics solution supports DX10 and delivers high performance HD graphics to both VGA and DVI connectors on the rear panel. In addition, the new Hybrid CrossFireX mode enables a SAPPHIRE HD 3400 series graphics card, plugged into the PCI-Express Gen 2.0 expansion slot, to work together with the onboard GPU using the new Hybrid CrossFireX driver and deliver considerably enhanced graphics performance. Further expansion is provided by two industry standard 32-bit PCI slots.

Fully featured I/O on board includes 6 Serial ATA Devices with RAID Support, E-IDE and Floppy disk interfaces, Gigabit LAN, 8-Channel HD Audio, up to 10 High-speed USB devices as well as headers for legacy serial and parallel ports.

Delivering a new generation of CrossFire capability, the SAPPHIRE PC-AM2RX780 is a new mainboard in ATX format based on the new AMD 770 Chipset and AMD SB600 south bridge. Again equipped with Socket-940 (AM2+) compatibility, the board supports AMD Phenom, Athlon 64, FX, X2, and Sempron processors. The chipset supports HT3 2000MHz Hypertransport speeds and Dual Channel DDR2 Memory DIMMs up to a total of 8GB, delivering enthusiast level performance.

On-board features include four Serial ATA Devices with RAID Support, two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 graphics expansion slots, supporting AMD CrossFireX, plus two PCI-Express x1 and two industry standard PCI slots. The extensive I/O provision includes up to 10 USB ports, Gigabit LAN, 8-Channel HD Audio I/O with Spdif, Serial and parallel port headers.

CrossFireX is a new level of support from AMD for multiple GPU solutions. With this mainboard and the latest graphics driver, cards from the SAPPHIRE HD3800 series can be used in combination to achieve enhanced graphics performance. This includes the HD 3850, HD 3870 and HD 3870 X2 (dual GPU) series, in any mix, allowing users to use 1, 2, 3 or 4 GPU’s together with CrossFireX for industry leading performance. It also supports CrossFire with two cards from earlier ATI-based graphics families.

Both new mainboards are in production now and will be available through SAPPHIRE channel and retail partners.
