Lanciata nel Giugno del 2008, ASUS ha ampliato la gamma dei suoi popolari desktop ultra-compatti Eee Box con i modelli Eee Box B204 e Eee Box B206. A caratterizzare fortemente i nuovi personal computer vi è il supporto nativo per la riproduzione in High Definition, che si avvale anche della funzionalità Eee Cinema che rende disponibile un player HD di facile utilizzo.
I nuovi Eee Box hanno una uscita HDMI che ne permette l'impiego in abbinamento ai monitor e ai televisori LCD, ai proiettori e ai dispositivi di Home Theater. Dal punto di vista della componentistica di base, entrambe le soluzioni sono basate sulla cpu Intel Atom N270 a 1.6GHz ed includono 1GB di RAM di tipo SO-DIMM ed una scheda grafica Radeon HD3400 equipaggiata con 256MB di RAM.
La variante Eee Box B206 è dotata inoltre di una batteria integrata che lavora come un UPS. In entrambi i casi il Sistema Operativo pre-installato è Windows XP. ASUS non ha reso noto l'MSRP dei nuovi Box.
